Michael Egan is one of the three founders of Eckman, Strandness & Egan. He is our financial specialist and an exceptionally talented litigator and negotiator for complex cases involving many parties. He successfully resolved more than 600 cases related to the Dalkon Shield IUD, and he was responsible for getting the statute of limitations extended in those cases so that women who were injured by the Dalkon Shield could have more time to file a lawsuit.

Michael graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. degree in business. He has extensive business management experience, and also taught mathematics and history at a local junior high school while studying at William Mitchell College of Law. Despite the many demands on his time, he finished first in his law school class in 1975. Since then, he has confined his practice to plaintiff's personal injury cases.

He was named a Minnesota Super Lawyer by Minnesota Law & Politics for the years 2002, 2003, and 2004.

Michael is a member of the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Panel of Arbitrators Association. He is admitted to argue cases before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court.
