Caring Bridge is a non-profit organization offering free web pages for children and other patients undergoing serious medical treatment. It was started in 1997 after an unbelievable response to a web site created for a premature baby.

COURAGE CENTER -- www.courage.org

Courage Center is a non-profit organization providing more than 70 programs in rehabilitation, mental health, and vocational and recreational services for the disabled.

MOTHERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING -- www.madd.org

MADD is a well-known, non-profit organization whose mission is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of a drunk driver, and prevent underage drinking.

SHRINERS HOSPITALS FOR CHILDREN -- www.shrinershq.org

Shriners Hospitals for Children is a charitable organization specializing in pediatrics and providing medical care to children under the age of 18 absolutely free of charge.

U.S. CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY COMMISSION -- www.cpsc.gov

This government agency is charged with protecting the public from the risks of serious injury or death from more than 15,000 types of consumer products. The CPSC is committed to protecting consumers and families from products that pose a fire, electrical, chemical, or mechanical hazard or can injure children.

PUBLIC CITIZEN -- www.citizen.org

Public Citizen is a national, non-profit consumer advocacy organization founded in 1971 to represent consumer interests in Congress, the executive branch, and the courts.  Public Citizen also provides Medical Board information, so you can determine if your doctor has been disciplined.
